Introduction: Patient satisfaction is a key indicator in the evaluation of aesthetic medicine procedures. Lip enhancement with hyaluronic acid has become one of the most requested interventions due to its immediate results, reversibility, and low risk profile.
Objective: To assess patient satisfaction after lip enhancement procedures with hyaluronic acid in a private clinic in Asunción during the 2024–2025 period.
Materials and methods: An observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study with an analytical component was conducted. A total of 107 patients aged 18 years or older who underwent lip enhancement with hyaluronic acid were included. A structured questionnaire collected demographic data, technical details, adverse events, and satisfaction levels. Data analysis was performed using Epi Info™, applying descriptive statistics and bivariate association tests.
Results: A total of 86.9% of patients reported being very satisfied with the procedure, and 99.1% perceived the results as natural. All patients expressed willingness to repeat the treatment. The most frequent adverse effects were swelling (57.9%) and bruising (32.7%). Satisfaction levels varied significantly by age group and treated area.
Conclusion: Lip enhancement with hyaluronic acid yields high levels of patient satisfaction, especially when proper techniques are used and individualized professional support is provided. Age and treated area should be considered to optimize aesthetic outcomes and patient satisfaction.
